FACE TO FACE AND ONLINE COUNSELLING BASED IN SOUTH LONDON
Hi, I’m Jess a BACP registered qualified counsellor.
People come to talk to me for many reasons, some feeling that something just isn't right, some who know it's their time to work through something. I will listen and support you in a calm, safe, confidential space where you can talk freely and openly.
I won't simply nod along, I may gently challenge you, asking the questions others may not, with warmth and honesty, maybe helping you to see things from a different perspective. Together we we can explore and process, reflecting on what you have been carrying so you can begin to feel clearer, lighter and better able to move forward.
I look forward to meeting you.

"Substance addictions like alcohol and drugs are merely the most visible form of addiction, but actually we are all addicted to our own habitual way of doing anything, our own defenses, and most especially, our patterned way of thinking, or how we process our reality.”
Richard Rohr
I bring professional experience and 25 years of personal recovery to this work.
Sometimes the things we do to cope become the things that keep us stuck.
Maybe you don't have an addiction. Maybe you just have a pattern.
Patterns aren't failures. Usually, they begin as to support us, ways of coping.
Maybe you know you keep repeating patterns and compulsive behaviours that leave you feeling stuck, exhausted or disconnected from yourself, but you don't quite understand why.
Together, we can begin to explore these patterns and what sits underneath them. helping you see what works for you and what no longer serves you.
I know that compulsive patterns can show up in many different areas of our lives and have particular experience and interest in:
You don't have to call yourself an addict. You just need to know that something isn't working anymore.
Come as you are, and we can start from there.
I believe healing happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely seen, heard and accepted. I bring my real, authentic self into the room.
Every person’s story is unique, which is why I tailor our work to meet your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
We can work with what’s happening for you right here, right now — or, if it feels helpful, we can go deeper. Together, we can explore how your past may be shaping your present, your relationships and the choices you make, so you can understand yourself in a new way.
I don’t have all the answers, and I won’t tell you what you should do. Instead, I’ll work alongside you, with curiosity and compassion, helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and discover what feels right for you.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
Addiction is often about much more than the substance or behaviour itself. It can be a way of coping with emotional pain, trauma, loneliness, or difficult life experiences.
Having been clean and sober for 25 years, I understand recovery from both a professional and personal perspective. My own journey enables me to walk alongside clients with empathy, honesty, and hope.
Whether you are beginning your recovery, maintaining sobriety through a 12-Step programme, or recognising unhealthy patterns around alcohol, drugs, food, or other compulsive behaviours, I offer support without judgement.
Together, we can explore the underlying issues, strengthen your recovery, and help you create lasting change.
When you come to counselling with me, you can expect:

Reaching out for support can be one of the hardest things you’ll ever do.
